'If It's Football, It's Vital'

LUFC Fans view v Huddersfield

Regular Leeds contributor Paulj82 was at the Galpharm on Saturday to see the West Yorkshire derby between Huddersfield and Leeds.

He gives us his honest and personal views on the Leeds player`s performance in the game.

Casper Ankergren 7
Could do nothing with both goals, made two really good saves, shame defence let him down with there second.

Andrew Hughes 6 (1st half) 8 (2nd half)
looked lost at back against a tricky winger but second half he did very well specially going forward. The equaliser came from his side so covering should have been better.

Richard Naylor 7
Solid got stuck in when needed, got some important blocks in.

Paddy Kisnorbo 8
If it weren't for him our defence would be lost, led by example yet again! Like his partner, very solid.

Shane Lowry 5
Nothing good to say really, was run ragged, grew into the game a little bit but not nearly enough. Booked, maybe lucky not to get another yellow.

Robert Snodgrass 9 Star man
Had a cracking second half, first half helped tracking back in defence a lot (McSheffrey take note - ed). If Beckford saw him then he'd of made it 3-1, and I reckon that would of been good night Huddersfield.

Jon Howson 6
Awful would be the best word, before he scored looked absolutely lost, but when he scored he then played a little better but not his best game.

Michael Doyle 6
5 foot nothing and for some reasons likes the ball in the air! Put the ball on the floor, time for Kilkenny to return.

Gary McSheffrey 5
Livened up in second half but again like Howson was awful!

Jermaine Beckford 6
Didn't really get much chance on the ball, but when he got through on goal he was overcrowded.

Luciano Becchio 7
Can't stop scoring at the moment, keep it up Luci, Ref didn't give him anything, booked

Subs

Bradley Johnson 6

Looked strong when he came on.

Tresor Kandol 5
Won a few balls but not enough time to do anything.

Summary

So a point off our 'rivals' is a very good point, we would of accepted this at the start so we can think of what could have been, but seriously we should of been 2-0 down at half time but Rhodes missed a sitter!
I've said before, we could of made it 3-1, shame Beckford didn't see Snoddy!

Our attention turn to Brentford and a home game we need three points from.

Put your money on Norwich and Leeds for top 2.
Huddersfield v Swindon in play off final would be a good game.

Hope you enjoy the read; all in all a point is very good from this fixture

Thanks for your views Paul.

Thanks for your views Paul, I could only listen to the game but they sound pretty acurate. They was slating McSheffrey especially in the first half for leaving Hughes exposed at the back. It looks like he'd gone AWOL again for Huddersfield's equaliser. I really don't think the loan players, Lowry and McSheffrey have added anything, infact I think they have made us a poorer side. Hopefully now between us we can get a fans view for every game between now and the end of the season (please send me my tickets, still not heard anything for Southampton!).

Can't help thinking when we got our noses in front we should have won and had we turned up for the first half that's exactly what should have happened. However, an away point is an away point and at least we're scoring goals again. Let's see what different options Paul Dickov gives us up front..
Rotherham White
A left/right combination maybe!
