LUFC Leeds duo in running for fans award

Leeds United duo Casper Ankergren and Luciano Becchio are in the running for the PFA Fans player of the month for February.

Becchio is enjoying a good month in front of goal, chipping in with four goals.

Although Ankergren kept his first clean sheet of the month in the win over Oldham on Tuesday the big Dane as put in a run of consistent performances in the Leeds goal.

Leeds have a great record in the award so far this season, only Ricky Lambert at Southampton who won the award in January as picked up the award outside of Elland Road.

Robert Snodgrass took the award for August and September and Jermaine Beckford took the award for October, November and December.

If I had to choose one of the two it would be Becchio. Ankergren has probably been our most improved and consistent player since the New Year.

For me without Casper we'd have lost a few more goals so he gets ny vote

I on't think either of them have done enough in the past month to be worthy of any award.

Billy-I agree. And that goes for the whole team. They were all awful. Why reward failure? Glad we're coming out of the slump..

I cant see how either would be up for an award. Becchio is starting to get a few goals but was dropped last Saturday after a poorish display on Tuesday. Casper made a hash of a cross against Walsall that lead to a corner which he managed to juggle the corner into his own net (just) and his late positional error at Orient lead to a goal that cost us . Hardly player of the month stuff.
