LUFC Leeds v Oldham Match Preview

Leeds play their third home game in a week and are still looking for their first win when they welcome Oldham Athletic on Tuesday night.

Form

Leeds
The Whites form`s been poor since the turn of the year, they have picked up just seven points from the last nine games, and needed a 95th minute equaliser to earn a point at home to Brighton on Saturday.

Leeds lost their first home league game in over a year last Tuesday when they lost 2-1 to Walsall.

Despite the run Leeds are still in second place, with a game in hand, on the side directly below them.

So far this season at home Leeds have won ten, drawn five and lost one.

Recent home form: DLLWLD

Oldham
The Latics have won two of their last four games as they try to move away from the relegation zone.

Last time out on Saturday they lost 1-0 at Colchester United.

Oldham are currently in nineteenth position, one point above the relegation places but with at least two games in hand on their nearest rivals.

Their biggest problem this season as been scoring goals, they are the lowest scorers in League One having netted only 24 times, they actually have a very good defensive record and only Leeds, Colchester and Huddersfield in the top six have conceded less than their 35.

Recent away form: LLWLDL

History

Leeds have the better record over Oldham at Elland Road in their 24 previous meetings, they have won 14 to Oldham`s 5, although they have won on their last two visits.

The two sides have already met at Oldham this season, Leeds won by the same score line 2-0 on both occasions.

Leeds won an FA Cup tie first thanks to goals by Jon Howson and Mike Grella and followed this up less than a month later thanks to goals by Neil Kilkenny and Luciano Becchio.

Lost the last two against them at Elland Road, we need to put that right. They will miss Chris Tatylor if he is injured, I wish we'd bought him when all the rumours were going around.

Gregan usually has a stormer at ER and we usually feed him header after header to just knock away. Lets run at him as hes a big weak link trying to keep up with anyone with pace and gives away penalties.
