'If It's Football, It's Vital'

LUFC Fans view v Brighton

Tiny T gives us his usual no holds barred views on the players performance.

Tiny was lucky enough to be taking a break on Tuesday and missed another inept performance, but there was no getting away for him this time.

Ankergren 6
Little to do, stood no chance with the penalty

Hughes 5
Got forward to support the attack but defended poorly allowed the winger to put the ball one side of him and run round the other, with Hughes usually on the floor as he fell over.

Naylor 6
Looks a better player with Kisnorbo along side of him, gave away the Penalty which was hotly disputed.

Kisnorbo 6 Star man
Felt his way back in and the defence looked more solid with him, nearly scored towards the end.

Lowry 5
Solid enough but nothing in the attacking third, if the ref had seen the elbow in the melee towards the end he would have had a red card and rightly so.

Howson 6
For me, our best midfielder before going off, strange decision by Grayson and I wasn't the only one who thought so, the only one of the midfield prepared to shoot.

Doyle 5
Tackled his heart out but received no help from his centre midfield partner in this department at all, careless on the ball giving it away too easily.

Kilkenny 3
Another game that passed him by, needs to learn to put the foot in and tackle and graft when the going gets tough, presented with four shooting chances took only one of them, always wants to give the ball an extra pass when not needed.

Johnson 5
the only one from the midfield or up front from the start who can head the ball so it was too predictable launch the ball to him for the knock down didn't really happen though.

McSheffrey 3
When graft was needed he went missing, looks like a player whose not match fit and low in confidence.

Beckford 3
Anonymous, our leading scorer looks disinterested.

Subs

Gradel 6

Made a difference when he came on and should have scored from Becchio`s knock down.

Becchio 6
With the ball in the air we needed him on the pitch, put pressure on the defence who'd had an easy afternoon until his arrival.

Snodgrass 6
Got the important goal in 'Grayson' time and brought some quality to the pitch.

Summary

Wrong line up for me, a team low in confidence usually plays the long ball and we did so why was Becchio on the bench as neither of the front two are workhorses which we certainly needed today.

Centre midfield was poor with Kilkenny lacking his usual fight whilst having a go at those around him needs to look at his own short comings first.

We need a loan Right Back A S A P with Crowe not up to it, and Bromby too slow.

Up front why are we even looking at Dickov too old and too slow, everyone else gets Man United, Liverpool and Arsenal to loan them a Striker whose young and hungry why don't we????

We are now too late as there all at other Clubs !!!!

Simon Grayson got it wrong today and needs to put it right for Tuesday, otherwise we could end up in the playoffs, not somewhere I would want to be come May.

Thanks for your views Tiny, maybe you should have booked a slightly longer holiday.
