LUFC Grayson disappointed with performance

Leeds United boss Simon Grayson was very disappointed with his side`s performance on Tuesday night after the shock 2-1 home defeat by Walsall.

The defeat was Leeds first at home for 26 games and they have now picked up just six points from seven league games since the turn of the year.

Speaking on the official website Grayson said, "The first half was unacceptable, it was nowhere near what we expect at this club."

After a very lacklustre first half, Leeds fell behind in the first minute of the second half to Walsall`s first real effort on goal.

Leeds were level within ten minutes thanks to a cross-shot from Gary McSheffrey which caught Ince in the Walsall goal off his line.

Walsall won the game in controversial circumstances when McDonald`s shot was adjudged to have crossed the line despite Ankergren`s efforts to keep it out.

Grayson questioned his players desire when continuing "There was wrong decision making, a lack of desire, and we didn`t pass it well".

Leeds are now just three points above Colchester in the final automatic place with one game in hand.

Leeds still have two more home games inside the next week and Grayson will be looking for an immediate response when they entertain Brighton on Saturday.
