LUFC Dickov joins MLS side on trial

Paul Dickov who was having a trial at Leeds United last week is now training with MLS side Toronto FC.

The 37 year old was released by Leicester City at the end of January linked up with Simon Grayson for a trial last week, the pair had worked together before when Dickov enjoyed a loan spell at Blackpool when he scored six goals in twelve appearances.

The former Scottish international had a trial with the American side before and joined up with the squad again on Saturday.

Speaking on MLSnet.com Dickov said 'The last time I came here I was very close to signing, but decided at the time it was best to stay in the Championship in England. Obviously there is now a new manager so I have come out here for a few days to join in training and hopefully we can sort something out.'
