LUFC Dickov training with Leeds

Experienced striker Paul Dickov who was recently released by Leicester City has joined up with Leeds for training for a few days.

The 37 year old has played for Leeds boss Simon Grayson during his time at Blackpool when he scored six goals in eleven games during a loan spell from Man City.

Grayson as invited him along to Thorp Arch to train with the squad for a few days, speaking on the official website Grayson said "Paul came in on Monday and he`s going to train with us for a couple of days. We`ll see how things go".

Dickov spent the first half of the season on loan at Derby County scoring two goals in sixteen appearances before returning to Leicester.

Leicester released the former Scotland international from his contract on transfer deadline day.

I might be on my own here but I think he could be just what we need. We have needed a nasty little bugger in the side all season who will kick some people about and mix it whilst allowing other players to play. I would like to see him for the rest of the season.

Is there anybody left who had a loan spell a Blackpool under Grayson who hasny come to us ??? I have never rated him but will give him a chance as I said the same about Dougie Freedman

I'm sure he will be playing for Leeds, soon seen that he's training with the squad...Maybe he's just what we need, a fearless player not afraid to get stuck in...
