LUFC Grayson Its another point towards promotion

Leeds United boss Simon Grayson was disappointed to see his side drop two points at Hartlepool after the home side equalised deep into stoppage time.

Grayson was however philosophical when speaking on Hartlepool player he said "We`ve not lost the game, we`ve picked up another point at a difficult place to come to in a game that we should have seen out and won quite comfortably."

Leeds took the lead halfway through the first half when Becchio scored with a header.

Hartlepool equalised inside the last twenty minutes but it looked like Leeds would be heading back to Leeds with all three points when Becchio put the visitors back in front inside the final ten minutes.

Hartlepool equalised in the third minute of injury time when Sweeney got on the end of a Boyd cross.

With Norwich losing and Charlton drawing it was a fantastic opportunity for Leeds to go level on the top with Norwich and pull further clear of Charlton in the final automatic spot.

Continuing Grayson said "We`ll wake up in the morning and reflect that its another point in our campaign for promotion".

Leeds now sit two points behind Norwich and four points clear of Charlton with two games in hand on both clubs.

A win would have been a great result today with other scores going our way. We seem to be struggling more aginst teams near the bottom of the division at the moment. Good to see Becchio back amongst the goals although its worrying Beckford went off at half time, I hope its nothing serious.

Grayson will have to be worried that we have reveted to last seasons Kamakazi defending at the end of games. Apart from the goal they had a couple of decent chances in the last 5 minutes and it felt like they were going to equalise. We need Kisnorbo back to organise the defence and a few home truths to players about giving away needless free kicks in injury time when they should just be running the clock down.

Norwich are on the top of the table because they didn't drop points against the teams around the bottom...The FA cup games took it's tole on our players, so lets not drop our heads we have to keep going and get out of this League...Lets finish what we started...
