'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Hulse Defends Mates

Rob Hulse says he has every sympathy with Richard Cresswell and Stephen Crainey as the Leeds pair will be suspended for the play-off final.

The pair both suffered in United's semi-final victory over Preston for, unbelievably, kicking the ball away.

Hulse: 'I didn't honestly think either one of them was a sending off. I know both of them looked to appeal but that was taken out of their hands.

'It was such a shame that a referee has to spoil such a big day. The two lads have been fantastic for this football club all year and I'm absolutely gutted for them that they will miss out on such a great occasion.

'If it was me who was missing out I don't know how I would feel, I'd be devastated.'
