LUFC Prutton joins Colchester

Leeds United midfielder David Prutton has joined fellow League One side Colchester United on an initial one month loan with a view to a permanent deal.

28 year old Prutton has struggled to earn a regular starting place in the side since the 2007/08 season, and has made just the one start so far this season in the 2-0 win at Oldham in November.

Prutton made just the ten starts last season and was actually sent off against the club he`s joined, Colchester in the game at Elland Road in December 2008.

I've always liked Prutton but I think he's become surplus to requirements and a player we needed to get of the wage budget.

3 minutes after coming on his first touch is a peach and from the moment he hit it, it was only ever going in the back of the net! Joins on a permanent deal after the game Saturday.
