LUFC Doyle hoping to join on permanent deal

Leeds United`s on loan midfielder Mike Doyle would like to see his loan deal turned into a permanent deal at the end of the season.

Doyle is on a season long loan from Championship side Coventry City and as been a regular starter for Leeds since his arrival in August making 32 appearance already this season in all competitions.

Speaking in the Coventry Telegraph, Doyle said 'It has been great and I am really enjoying it. Hopefully something can be done in the summer. It has been the best period of my career because we have been winning every week.'

The 28 year old has been a key figure in the Leeds midfield and as played a pivotal part in the clubs great form this season and the FA Cup run, which as seen them already dispose of Manchester United at Old Trafford and draw at Spurs at the weekend.

Doyle is also hoping that his form will get him noticed by the Republic of Ireland manager Giovanni Trapattoni and he can add to his solitary cap that he won back in 2006.

I really like Doyle, think he does a lot of work that goes unnoticed at the back of midfield for Leeds. He allows players like Johnson and Snodgrass to attack on a more regular basis. I hope he gets a permanent deal.

Think we will probably be looking at someone else, I would like to see johnson given that role in the Middle of the park and play White wide with Parker behind
