LUFC Beckford wins Player of the round in FA Cup

Leeds United striker Jermaine Beckford has been named the E.ON FA Cup player of the round for his performance in the third round.

Beckford scored the only goal of the game in Leeds shock third round victory at Manchester United, the clubs first win at Old Trafford since 1981.

The winner of the player of the round is decided by a vote on the FA.Com website award after a shortlist of five is made by a panel of judges.

Beckford took 59% of the vote, beating Joe Lewis, Aaron Ramsey, Daniel Sturridge and Jon Parkin.

The 26 year old receives a trophy and two tickets for this seasons FA Cup Final at Wembley in May.
