LUFC Reserves hit Scunny for six

A very strong Leeds United reserve side were far too strong for Scunthorpe United at Elland Road tonight, hitting the visitors for six.

Ben Parker returned after being sidelined since the opening day of the season and lasted 68 minutes before being substituted.

Leeds took the lead through a Mike Grella header after a cross in from Andy Robinson.

Tresor Kandol made it two when he coolly slotted home from a Prutton cross.

Leeds made it 3-0 before half time when Grella`s left foot drive found the back of the net.

Andy Robinson made it four, a good run and cross by White, was headed down by Kandol for Robinson to smash it in.

Scunthorpe pulled a goal back when David Prutton handled the ball inside the penalty area.

Alan Martin saved May's spot kick but the Scunthorpe attacker followed it in to score.

Paul Huntington made it 5-1 with a near post header from a Leeds corner.

Will Hatfield made it six shortly after coming off the bench when he was in the right place to shoot home after a goalmouth scramble in the dying minutes of the game.

A few could be pushing for places on the bench again on Saturday. Good to see Kandol back with a goal with him being away on compassionate leave recently.

Strong side that! And Dazza - anyone would think you was doing something else at the same time as you was writing that - lol

For 70 minutes the tempo was great and defence never troiubled. The subs of Parker (impressive comeback) and Bromby unsettled the defence for a While but white was a constant menace from midfield. Grella, Kandol, White and Parker all did their chances a power of good.

Suppose its a good thing that most of them players have first team experience. we do have a big squad and looks like we have a real player (aiden white) on our hands.

Strong side and a good win. Nice to see Parker back we need a proper Left Back

Good to see our reserve strikers finding the back of the net. White looked a threat and Parker seemed to get through without any probs!
