LUFC Grayson - You can't stop speculation

Simon Grayson has distanced himself from reports linking him with the vacant Burnley job.

'You can't stop speculation and you are flattered when you are linked with jobs in the Premier League.
'But it has to be the right circumstances and right the club to do that at." Grayson said on Radio Leeds.

Grayson who has just completed a year in charge at Elland Road as enjoyed a very successful first year, the club currently sit six points clear at the top of League One and have just knocked out Manchester United in the FA Cup at Old Trafford.

Grayson who is a lifelong Leeds United supporter, continued "My ideal scenario is to manage Leeds United in the Premier League and I think over the next few years I think there is a real possibility of us achieving that."

With the ongoing saga surrounding the future of striker Jermaine Beckford, the last thing the fans will want to see is new rumours surrounding Grayson.

Maybe its time for Bates to offer him a new and improved contract which will also include hefty bonuses for taking us up. I think the good thing about Grayson is, his heart is at the club but I am sure the possibilty of managing in the Premiership already must be enticing. He's the best manager we have had at the club for a very long time and we don't want to see any possibilty of losing him with the job only just started.

Hasn't finished the job he started. He won't be going anywhere.

Bang on Dazza. Grayson has done a superb job and has Leeds at his heart. As a Leeds fan, I don't think there'll be any bigger kick for him than leading us back to the Premier League, ensuring legendary status in the process. Also, hats off to Bates for appointing the right man, trusting him and keeping out of team affairs.
