LUFC Leeds v Wycombe Preview

Leeds United welcome Wycombe Wanderers to Elland Road on Saturday for the first time in the two clubs history.

Form

Leeds
The Whites continue to set the pace in League One and come into the game on the back of their giant killing act at Manchester United in the FA Cup last weekend.

Leeds are unbeaten since the end of October, a run stretching sixteen games.

If they can avoid defeat on Saturday they will have gone a year without suffering a defeat at Elland Road in the league.

In that time they have played 23 games and have won 20 of them.

Wycombe
The Chairboys are struggling in their first season back in League One and are currently 23rd in the table, 7 points from safety.

Despite a change in manager their form continues to be a problem and they have gone six games without a win.

Last time out they were beaten 1-0 at home by promotion chasing Norwich City.

Last time out on their travels they lost 4-0 at Yeovil Town.

So far on their travels this season they have won 1, drawn 3 and lost 8.

Recent away form: LLLWLLD

History

Wycombe are enjoying their seventeenth season in the Football League this season, since their promotion they have enjoyed eleven seasons in the third tier and six seasons in the fourth tier of the league.

Their best ever finish was sixth in the third tier back in 1994/95.

They have enjoyed a couple of famous cup runs this century reaching the semi finals of both domestic cup competitions.

They lost to Liverpool 2-1 in the FA Cup semi final in 2001, and 5-1 to Chelsea on aggregate in the 2007 League Cup.

This is the first ever meeting between the two clubs at Elland Road.

In their first ever meeting at Wycombe earlier in the season Leeds came away with all three points thanks to a Luciano Becchio goal.

Back to business in the league. I can see nothing but 3 points on the cards here. Will be interesting to see who steps into Beckfords boots for the game?!?!?
