'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Blackwell Happy To Wait

Leeds manager Kevin Blackwell paid tribute to his players after they reached the play-off final but said he wasn't convinced it would be Watford in the final. Leeds got there courtesy of a 2-0 victory over Preston.

The first match at Elland Road ended 1-1 but they clinched a place at Cardiff thanks to second-half goals from Rob Hulse and Frazer Richardson at Deepdale.

Blackwell: 'I'm extremely proud. The lads were fantastic tonight - they showed true grit and determination to get through here.

'I said before we had to be solid and strong and not try to make too much of a game of it... and we did that.

'We'll see who we get. Watford lead 3-0 but it isn't over yet.

Yeah its a good omen last time we were promoted out of the second tier a seem to recall it was Bournemouth we played. As 4 the millers fan you should be backing your Yorkshire neighbours as it might revatilise football in the area and lets not forget it was your nieghbours and friends who gave so generously to the savethemillers fund not so long ago. Doubt you would have got much sympathy from the londerers. COME ON LEEDS UTD

"seem to recall it was bournemouth" Blimey, great memory there, if you hadn't ran riot through the town, robbed old ladies of tickets and set fire to the pier you wouldn't have remembered it at all - Good luck Watford!

Stick you sour grapes up yer ass.. where your bias opinions come from.. After mugging, and cheating acting from messers Davis, Nuggent, Nash, etc PNE, bias referring Leeds stood up and showed real class and guts. If you cannot accept the result go cry somewhere else. 9 men won 2-0 fantastic achievement 3 preston players should have been off for hands to face but were not even booked, yet Cressy was off when the ball harmlessly hit him. Watch the replay he never kicked it but was stupidly sent off by a bias incompetant ref. Justice was done, over the season we earned our place in the final, its a un denieghable fact. SUPER SUPER LEEDS..
