'If It's Football, It's Vital'

LUFC Radebe revels in cup success

Former Leeds United favourite Lucas Radebe couldn`t hide his delight with the sides shock FA Cup win at Manchester United on Sunday.

Speaking in the South African newspaper, The Mercury, Radebe said 'I was jumping and screaming, Leeds played exceptionally good football; they were strong and they deserved the win.'

The former Whites captain who spent eleven years at the club between 1994 and 2005, making 200 appearances, never won at Old Trafford during his career and said he used to hate losing their.

Radebe once famously played in goal for Leeds at Old Trafford after the original keeper was forced off injured early on in the game. He managed to keep them out with some fantastic saves until a late goal finally beat him.

The former South African international believes now that despite the importance of the league the club should attack in all competitions, he continued 'I do not think the focus is to have a strong Cup run, but after the game I believe Leeds should go all-out in both competitions.'

Radebe`s name is still sung at every Leeds game by the fans and he will go down in the history of the club as a true legend.

His name was sung on Sunday at the match so he was there in spirit when we beat them. I just keep relaying the game expecting them to scuff a goal in injury time.

I wasnt at the game, but managed to get the whole build up, match & post match interviews taped on dvd. Ive watched it twice since the game & its even better viewing when you already know the full time score!

Did it stay 1-0 or did Fergie get his ten minutes of injury time and they equalised with the last kick of the ball?!
