LUFC Howson - We want to make the fans proud

Local lad Jon Howson will be hoping to make the Leeds fans proud when the club travel to Manchester United on Sunday.

Nearly 9,000 Leeds fans making the short trip across the Pennines will cheer the sides on and Howson speaking on the official website said "If we go there and give it a go, whatever happens, we can say we have given it our best shot".

Howson understands the rivalry between the two sides being a lifelong Leeds United supporter and coming through the Leeds United academy.

The 21 year old has now made over 100 appearances for Leeds and has enjoyed the privilege of captaining the club during Richard Naylor`s injury absences this season.
