The Hatters are rock bottom of League One and ten points from safety having only won fourteen points all season.

They have lost their last ten league games in a row having not won since beating Tranmere Rovers 1-0 in mid October.

On Saturday they lost 4-1 at MK Dons.

In their last home game they lost 2-1 against Charlton Athletic

Leeds
The Whites will be hoping to finish 2009 off in style.

So far this season they have lost just the one game and currently lead League One by six points, with a game in hand.

Leeds have lost only five games away in the league in 2009 with only two of them coming since February.

History
The two clubs have only ever met four times at Stockport with the home side enjoying two wins to Leeds one and one drawn.

Leeds victory came last season, also on December 28th, when after falling behind in the opening five minutes goals from Becchio, Delph and Christie gave Leeds their first win under new boss Simon Grayson.

The three previous meetings all happened in the early 1920`s in the early history of Leeds United.

We don't want to take them to lightly, you often see strange results around this time of the year. Lets hope we are not one of them.

With Charlton having a 'local' derby away at Brentford and Norwich away at Walsall and the other top teams playing each other (Huddersfield v MKD and Colchester v Southampton) we have a chance of extending our lead before the minor distraction of the FA Cup.
