LUFC Grayson delighted with Beckford response

Leeds United boss Simon Grayson was delighted with the response of the clubs leading goalscorer Jermaine Beckford in the 3-1 win over Hartlepool.

Beckford stormed off the pitch in last Saturday`s win over Southampton and refused to shake the manager`s hand and straight down the tunnel after being substituted.

Grayson and Beckford had clear the air talks when they both returned to training on Monday, with Grayson saying the situation had been resolved and Beckford had apologised.

Beckford got back to what he does best in the win over Hartlepool.
He scored a goal in each half to take his tally for the season to seventeen

Grayson wasn`t surprised by the response from Beckford, speaking on the Official website he said "I didn`t expect anything else from Jermaine. He took his goals well and worked the opposition keeper. If you give him opportunities, he will take them."

Beckford`s two goals took him closer to breaking the twenty-goal barrier for the third season in a row and he`s already well on target to beating the 34 goals he scored last season with less than half the season gone.
