LUFC Grayson wants fans support for Beckford

Leeds United boss Simon Grayson has asked the fans to lay of Jermaine Beckford and get behind the striker.

Beckford was booed from the pitch against Southampton last Saturday, to make matters even worse he refused to shake Grayson`s hand and walked straight down the tunnel.

Grayson sat down with Beckford on Monday morning and resolved the incident with Beckford apologising to the boss.

Speaking in the YEP, Grayson said 'People have to remember what Jermaine's done for this club in the past two years or so. Clearly he didn't have his best performance on Saturday and it was a difficult day all round for him, but he's scored a lot of goals in a Leeds shirt and he's a player whose won us many games in the past."

Beckford continues to lead the way in the Leeds goalscoring chart having netted fifteen times already this season.

As most fans av played football in some capacity they av most probably felt let down & frustrated in some way. But what makes the difference is how we handle it, & Beckford as apologised & that should be good enough for all Leeds fans so I hope YOU LEEDS FANS show the same courtesy & support the whole team like true fans. I know I will. JEEERMAINE BECKFORD, JEEERMAINE BECKFORD.
