'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Preston Back Blackwell

Billy Davies: 'I would have to agree with the Leeds United manager. I would question his decision making, and I would certainly like to view the video of some of his decisions again.

'I could not ask any more from my players.
This is a very intimidating place, but we have come away with a tremendous result and now we can finish the job on Monday.'

'I tooka big gamble on Nugent. I could not believe he was out there. It was a risk playing him but he showed just what a tremendous asset he is to us and tonight will have done him the world of good.'

With Preston at home in the second leg, and on an unbeaten run of nine matches, but the Leeds boss was still upbeat about his prospects of getting to Cardiff.

Blackwell: 'They are at home, but the game is level and we have a decent away record.

'Billy and I would have taken the situation where you go into one game knowing that it can get you to a final, and that's where we are.

'I am proud of the players because they kept going right to the end. Maybe they could have wilted under the massive expectations of the fans, but I am so proud of them because they didn't do that.'

we should be going to dickdale 2 or 3 up.. robbed by ref but we never expect or have it easy. PNE goal was a massive solo effort and they will not get away with that again. Other wide Leeds were clearly the better side.
