LUFC Grayson - A draw was a fair result

Simon Grayson felt a draw was a fair result after a tough West Yorkshire derby against Huddersfield Town finished 2-2.

Speaking on Yorkshire Radio Grayson said "There were plenty of chances for both sides with both going for the win and I think a draw was a fair result overall.
Both sides played in the right manner; we could have lost it right at the end, but equally could have killed it off early, so a draw was fair."

Leeds twice took the lead through Robert Snodgrass and Max Gradel but Huddersfield hit back through Novak and Jordan Rhodes.

Huddersfield created more chances than the table toppers who have now gone twenty-one games unbeaten.

That record only just remains intact after Pilkington`s fierce free kick in the final minute cannoned back off the bar and hit Ankergren on the back of the head, before bouncing to safety.

I listened to his interview on the way home, he also said that some of the injured players could return in midweek but didn't mention names.

Think we need them. Without Kis we look soft in defence.

Agree on the result lets hope Kisnorbo's back and Johnson

I think the central defenders did ok, it was Capaldi and Crowe who were the problems. Bring back Hughes all is forgiven!lol

These monthly awards mean nothing, the table doesn't lie.

If your full backs play like they did yesterday the central defence is in trouble but i thought Lubo and especially Bromby did well under difficult circumstances yesterday. Edddie Gray said he had heard 'on the graevine' that Kisnorbo is fit but was being held back from this game and Johnson is in full training. We have missed Johnson power at times since hes been out and hes our best player at heading from corners and free kicks. Had Johnson played today the left would not have got broken with the regularity that it did and Sonoddy looks better on the right.

Grayson hinted in his after match interview on Yorkshire Radio that a few of the injured players would be back in midweek.
King Billy
Let's hope Higgs and Kisnorbo are back ASAP. Our defence is starting to look very shaky. The opposing teams must have realised by now that we are vulnerable at crosses and set-pieces - again.
Reiver
Understand Higgs should be fit for next weekend and others available for Tuesday
