LUFC Fans view v Leyton Orient

Regular Vital Leeds contributor, Tiny T gives us his thoughts once again on the players performances in last night`s last gasp win over Leyton orient.

Ankergren 6
Not much to do, couple of first half saves to keep the score at 0-0

Bromby 4
Not at the races in the first half, gave the ball away easily and tackled poorly, better in second half

Kisnorbo 7
Another steady display with some last ditch defending at times, left exposed as Orient played well in the first 45 minutes

Michalik 6
Another with last ditch defending, exposed by weak midfield, aimless balls forward though.

Hughes 5
Yet again Hughes went into headless chicken mode, exposed by Snodgrass down the left.

Howson 4
Wasted out wide, needs to be in his more natural Central role, good first half, shot and couple of runs.

Doyle 4
Battled away but to little avail, another whose passing was aimless.

Kilkenny 3
What a waste, tackled like a fairy, man of the match Saturday not quite the worst v Orient.

Snodgrass 3
Started playing in the second minute of time added on, says it all, too much ball watching not enough work ethic, worst player for me.

Vokes 5
Little quality to work off, first chance of the night but the ball just wouldn't come down

Beckford 5
Again no quality of ball, as it was sent long and high most of the night.

Subs
White - 7 - Solid in defence and got forward using his pace and attacking the space when possible.

Gradel - 8 - Star Man - Only got 20 minutes but changed the game, alert, tricky and smashed in the all important goal.

Grella - 5 - Little time to make an impact.

The Orient team will feel hard done by going away empty handed, but we kept going until the end and got the all important three points.

The midfield was none existent for most of the night and anyone of them could have been taken off. Snodgrass needs to have a wake up call has he still looks unfit and off the pace.

The introduction of some genuine pace in White and Gradel swung the game Leeds way and both gave the team width, which is yet again a problem. Howson needs to be in the middle so either Doyle or Kilkenny should make way out wide, I would put Grella and White/Johnson or both one at Left Back the other in front on the left.

A mystery why no big man on the bench when we played launch it all night, also no covering Centre Half, if anything the bench looked a little bare.

Once again thanks for your very frank and honest views of the game Tiny.

Can't disagree with many, thought Kilkenny played better than what you say. Thought the vast majority were well below par.

Tiny T I think this report is about spot on and reflects my views from the stand. I thought Kilkenny and Snodgrass were shocking trying fancy bits and pieces instead of getting stuck in and doing the basics. The only ones I would question are Hughes who I tought get left exposed two on one often and had to stand off and Vokes who had little quality at all and wasted a glorious chance in the first half. The three subs all did well and Grella showed more ability on the ball in 10 minutes thanj some did in 90.

Thought it was just me and the odd one who sits around me, some even thought we played well, must remind them to go to Specsavers.
Tiny T
wow... we didnt play too well then did we!
Dobbo96
What was important dobbo was we got the three points.
