LUFC Another international call for Leeds player

Leeds United continue to have players called up for international duty next weekend.

Loan striker Sam Vokes is included in the Wales squad, for their friendly with Scotland at the Millennium Stadium on Saturday 14th November.

Vokes joined Leeds in October on a loan spell that will keep him at the club until January.

Since arriving, he`s started every game for the Whites making three appearances, he scored his first goal in the recent win at Bristol Rovers.

The 20 year old will be hoping to add to his two international goals that he`s already scored in thirteen appearances.

Leeds have already called off next weekends trip to Swindon Town due to three players earning calls up for their nations respectively. He follows, Patrick Kisnorbo (Australia), Alan Martin (Scotland under 21), Rui Marques (Angola) and Lubomir Michalik who is on standby for the Slovakian squad.

Shows the strength of our squad at the moment when we have five players on international duty. Snodgrass missed out this time or it could have been six.We also have Ankergren (Denmark), Kandol (Congo), Doyle(Eire), Kilkenny (Australia) and Showunmi (Nigeria) who have all been called up by their countries in the past. Not bad for League One!

Thats a full squad of internationals, although I can't believe showunmi's got international caps!!

Most teams in the Premiership wouldn't have 6/7 Internationals in their squad's...Just goes to show the pull Leeds and SG has...I just hope there wont be a big pile up...And match's coming at us left right and centre...
