LUFC Kandol gets three match ban

Leeds United striker Tresor Kandol has had his three match ban confirmed by the FA after a regulatory committee meeting.

Kandol was charged with violent conduct after appearing to strike Yeovil Town player Sam Williams after the final whistle on Saturday.

The Congolese striker had already pleaded guilty to the charge so the punishment was inevitable.

It`s a shame for Kandol who has just returned to the Leeds side after missing the whole of the 2008/09 season out on loan at Millwall and Charlton Athletic.

Kandol`s career seemed to be heading away from Elland Road but he`s knuckled down and scored a number of goals for the reserves so far this season.

Since making his way back into the first team squad he`s scored three goals in five games although he didn`t complete 90 minutes in any of them.

After two goals in his last two games when coming on as a substitute he looked favourite to start on Saturday against Oldham in the cup with on loan striker Sam Vokes unable to play.

The ban takes immediate effect and he will now miss the Oldham FA Cup clash, Grimsby Town in the Johnstone`s Paint Trophy and the league clash at Brighton and Hove Albion.

The blokes stupid, what could have happened to make him strike the Yeovil player, Leeds had won 4-0 and he's scored. I think there's got to be more to it.

Just when you thought he's got himself into Graysons good books he does something silly, especially as he would have started on Saturday.

He will have to stay at home and read his Janet and John books. What a dunce.
