LUFC Leeds trip to Swindon cancelled

Leeds United have confirmed that their trip to Swindon Town on November 14th has been called off due to international call ups.

Rui Marques was called up to the Angola squad this afternoon adding to that of Alan Martin (Scotland under 21`s) and Patrick Kisnorbo (Australia) this week.

Leeds could still have more players called up with Robert Snodgrass a possibility for Scotland`s friendly with Wales, Welsh international Sam Vokes also in the same game and Lubomir Michalik is on standby for the Slovakia squad.

Leeds fixture at Bristol Rovers was called off in October for the same reason, it was quickly re arranged and played last week but with possible FA Cup replays, Johnstone`s Paint Trophy games as well as a midweek League fixture with Leyton Orient later this month the re arranged game is unlikely to take place in the near future.

Internationals really *****ing me off! Couldn't do Brizzle because it was midweek. Hopefully it on a saturday still but doubt it.

Only chance of that Ben is if both sides get knocked out of the FA cup in the first round.

This is the last batch of internations before March as far as I can see. (Europe anyway). I feel sorry for the fans who have bought tickets for a saturday game and cant make midweek.

I can now go, I'm sure there will be a few tickets returned by fans who can't make a midweek trip.
