LUFC Grayson - No change on Beckford situation

Simon Grayson has once again reiterated his stance that Jermaine Beckford will not be leaving the club in January.

Clubs continue to be linked with Leeds leading goalscorer whose current contract runs out at the end of the season.

Portuguese club Sporting Braga were the latest to be linked last week after Beckford`s agent came out and announced the news.

A number of clubs in the Premiership and Championship also continue to be linked. Leeds boss Simon Grayson says that the player will still be at the club at the end of the season and will be going nowhere in the January transfer window and if that means he leaves on a free in the summer then so be it.

Grayson also says that negotiations are still ongoing with Beckford with the club still hopeful of striking a deal to keep the 25 year old at the club long term.

Beckford hit double figures for the season last night at Bristol Rovers in only his thirteenth game.

Still top at Christmas and I wouldn't be shocked to see him sign a new deal in January, I wouldn't be surprised if a deals already been put to him on the provido that we get promoted. I will live with it if he leaves at the end of the season for nothing, if he gets us promotion.

He should have got the money he derserves! At the time and there would be no talk i'm sure of Beckford now...

I say give him what he wants. Obviously he has his bad days but as proved yesterday hes incredible!

Get him signed up, it will stop all these rumours and it would be good to see what he can do in the Championship if we got promoted.
King Billy
Carry on Beckford, I think he has an edge this season, brings in others more than in any other season. Whwn we go up he'll still be here, he's ever said he wanted to go
Tiny T
He seems to be trying to bring others into play this year but hes really not good at it and should stick to being selfish most of the time and keep banging em in. I hope Larry is right but fear that if bates gets the offer he wants we will be struggling to keep him. The only thing that will stop him is if he really believes getting into the CCC will bring him (thats Bates limited not Leeds United)more money and raises the value of the club.
erni
i think he will stay if we get promotion...looking good so far.
