LUFC Millwall v Leeds officials

Premiership referee Mark Clattenburg will be the man in charge when Leeds travel to Millwall on Saturday.

The Tyne and Wear official has refereed 9 games so far this season showing 27 yellow cards and 1 red.

Last season he only refereed two games after the referees governing body held an investigation into his personal life and business debts and sacked him.

After an appeal it was reduced to eight months and he returned to action on the last weekend of last season.

There will also be another Premiership referee in attendance on Saturday with Steve Tanner the fourth official.

The last time he took charge of a Millwall game was way back in the 2005/06 season when they drew 2-2 at Sheffield United.

The last time he took charge of a Leeds game was on New Years Day 2008, when they lost 3-1 at home against Oldham Athletic

Referee: M. Clattenburg (Tyne & Wear
Assistants: S. Artis & N. Kinseley
Fourth official: S. Tanner

I used to think he was a really good referee but the season he got banned he was having a shocker. Maybe it was the fact he knew the Football League were investigating him. I just hope he's up to it on Saturday. It shows how the Football League look at the game when we have a Premiership ref and fourth official.

He'll have Steve Tanner another Prem Ref...I would like to know who has the last say?...

I wish they would swap round as Clattenburg is rubbish. Hes another one of the FAs 'darling' who has blotted his copybook by poor games and personal issues. The only good thing is that its not a televised game or he would want to be the star of the show.

like most refs full of self importance....
