LUFC Gradel would like to stay

New loan signing Max Gradel is hoping to turn his one month loan deal into something more permanent.

Speaking on the official website Gradel said "Hopefully I can stay here because any player just wants to play so I would love that chance".

The Leicester midfielder was only announced as a Leeds player hours before the kick off and he became an instant hit with the fans after making a dramatic debut when coming on as a late substitute to help Leeds to a 2-1 win over promotion rivals Norwich City.

After being under pressure for most of the second half, the game changed dramatically after Gradel`s introduction with just over ten minutes remaining.

With his first touch, seconds after coming on, he almost played in Beckford and then came within inches of putting Beckford in on goal on a further three occasions.

His impact won him the club sponsors man of the match.

The 21 year old helped Leicester City to the League One championship last season making 24 appearances but he has yet to feature for the Midlands club in the Championship this season.

He is contracted to the Foxes until 2012 but sounds like he would welcome the chance of a move to Elland Road if offered to him.

If so, its gotta be goodbye to robbo?

That wouldn't be a bad thing. I can't see Gradel or Vokes becoming long term, they are both under long contracts at their parent clubs and that would mean the old miser Bates parting with some money!!!

Let's not get too carried away - I remember quite a few players over the years who've looked great for a couple of substitute appearances, but failed to kick on. (Seb Carole, anyone ......?) Notwithstanding, a pretty good start last night .....

Carole was pure rubbish even on his Debut...But even watching this young lad Gradel for the short time he got a run out for you could see...He has a lot to offer...

I saw him a few times during his time at Bournemouth and saw him on the box for Leicester last year and he is a good player. With Snodgrass and Johnson already playing out wide then Gradel can be a fantastic impact player like he was last night.

i was impressed with norwich but we kept going and got the win, and as they say its the sign of a good team when you win without playing well.mot

gradel has always impressed me when i have seen him, i would love us to sign him permenantly but that would cost bates !!!

We are not going to get either long term but lets make the best of them while they are here. Leicester have already said he will be going back there but we may get another month out of him if Leicester keep on winning.Larry looks like he may have hit the bullseye again with loans.
