Grayson - Desire to win got us all three points

Simon Grayson was a relieved man to see Leeds come away with all three points after a very hard fought win against Norwich City.

Leeds claimed all three points with a winner deep into injury time after looking second best for long periods of the second half.

Speaking on SkySports after the game, Grayson said "We`ve got a desire to keep going till the very end, and we`ve got players that can win football matches for us".

The turning point for Leeds came in the 73rd minute when Grayson gave a debut to new loan signing Max Gradel from Leicester City.

He quickly got involved in the action and almost set up Beckford on four separate occasions.

Grayson admitted that maybe Leeds were a little lucky to claim all three points, but he put the desire of his squad down to the fact that they kept going till the very end.

The result sees Leeds go two points clear at the top and still with a game in hand, they still remain the only unbeaten side in the Football League.

I was gutted when beckford missed that chance before his goal. There keeper was brilliant until the goal kick. he must be so *****ed.

we never get luck like this! and i think its a great sign we win when we dont play so well. look at scum utd, they play bad loads and win the league

We need to look back at this, realise we were second best and make it count in the next two matches. Kandols introduction started the tide turning (they couldnt haddle his strength but had Vokes in their pocket) and Gradel totally swung the game. We could have had four in the last 10 minutes but count ourselves lucky.

The subs made a difference for you for sure. I'm amazed we didn't bring any on, considering how hard we had worked in midfield.

Anpalu hits it on the head. all succesful clubs make a habit of scoring late winners when they maybe haven't been on top of their game. That could be a huge 3 points come the end of the season.

As a Norwich fan who was at Elland road last night, I just wanted to say hats off to you. I thought we dominated the match until the last ten minutes and should have won it comfortably, but your defence never gave us a look-in despite our pressure, and with all the chances you had at the end, a draw would probably have been fair. But mostly, I've seen fans before in similar situations lord it over us like they'd earned it all game - you guys looked delighted to win (and why shouldn't you, I would've been) but didn't rub our noses in it in the slightest, and are now on my list of teams I don't mind seeing do well. Best of luck for the rest of the season, hope I can return next year in the Championship.
