LUFC Grayson praises record breakers
Leeds boss Simon Grayson was quick to praise his players after the club broke long standing club records and equalled another one on the same day.
The sides 2-0 victory was their fourteenth league victory in a row at Elland Road breaking a record that`s stood since 1969, it was also the clubs eighth straight victory in all competitions breaking a record from 1973.
The great Don Revie sides of the 60`s and 70`s achieved both the previous records.
Speaking on the official website Grayson said 'Some fantastic players have turned out for Leeds United down the years so this team should be proud and privileged to have set two new records".
It was also their ninth consecutive league winning stretching back to last season, the last time this feat was achieved was back in 1931. Leeds will be hoping to overtake this record when they travel to Southend United on Friday night.

On a serious note, they are great achievements, what we need to do now is continue to break records this season and reach the goal of promotion. Despite our start to the season we are still not top.
