'If It's Football, It's Vital'

LUFC Parkinson deserves the award

Simon Grayson will be a leading candidate for the League One Manager of the Month for August, do we want him to win it?

Usually there is a sudden dip in form, from the side that win the award.

So despite winning seven out of seven games in all competitions, let`s hope the award goes to Phil Parkinson at Charlton.

The Addicks have also won their first five league games, their only defeat was a Carling Cup defeat at Hereford.

It really does look like a two horse race for the award.

The other managers that could be in the hunt are Paul Ince`s MK Dons and Brentford`s Andy Scott whose sides are also undefeated so far in the league, they have drawn more games.

Huddersfield boss Lee Clark as also seen his side enjoy a good start to the season, they are above both MK Dons and Brentford but have lost one game.

So despite a great start and Grayson being a worthy winner of the award let`s hope the panel overlook his achievement`s, in the same way they did in March and April last season.

Grayson will be happy picking up the Manager of the year award at the end of the season.

Great article Dazza but if he does pick up the manager of the year award won't that mean that we will have a bad season next season?...lol
Gromjo
No lets hope Grayson wins the award and we start the season the way we want to end it..........as winners
BRISTOLWHITE
Didn't think of it that way Grom, if the Football League have anything to do with it we've got no chance of winning any awards!
dazza71
How kind of you, Dazza! lol

I hope Larry wins everything he deserves! Some dont want him to win but what about Larry picking up the award! How do you think he would feel...Great look what he has done for Leeds Utd so far...I'm sure he would love to pick up the award...I wouldn't think he believes in any Jinks...Come on Larry...

I glad you noticed the sarcastic side of my article Matt, unfortunately I knew some would miss it!

Different manager, Different Leeds, Different rules this season. The old jinxs are out of the window. The whole attitute and feel of the team suggests that this is our season. Dennis Wise won a crap load of manager awards and he was *****. Grayson will win it and will carry on the winning streak!
yorkshirepride1
Agree Yks and a lot of people didn't seem to get the Sarcasticism? Bit the more awards he wins will be better for Leeds and the fans and the players...MOT!
iwa
Grayson wont give a fig about MOM awards as long as he keeps winnng and the one I want him to win is in May next year when nobody can come back at us. Look how Macca basked in the glory in his MOM last Sept and got the sack two months later. We dont want that again do we although I am much more confident this seasons team.

No just you iwa, just you
