LUFC - Leeds close to securing defender
According to reports on Radio Leeds, Sheffield United have accepted a bid from Leeds for defender Leigh Bromby.
Rumours have it that the 29 year old is holding talks with Leeds and just needs to agree personal terms.
The central defender has spent the majority of his career at both Sheffield clubs making over 100 appearances for both.
He`s yet to make a first team appearance for Sheffield United this season, having resigned for the Blades from Watford after spending the end of last season on loan with the Championship club.

Good man Larry bringing Bronby in they dont come to much better and he can play C/D L/B R/B a all round good defender...I think he might have one more player in mind? If not we cant complain...

I think it could spell the end for Michalik and Huntington.

we need a striker so i reckon beckford could be part of this deal otherwise i can't see why we would want to sell bromby when he was brought in as cover. we also paid 500k for him only a month ago. i'd luv beckford to come to S2.

Can`t see Simon Grayson letting Becks go but who knows? Could be Bromby, Sharp plus cash for him? Tends not to turn up for the really big games and didn`t exactly shine in the Watford game (although he had a shot saved) but everyone has a off night I suppose but against League One opposition he does the biz week in week out. Hope he stays at ER.

With Blackwell who knows. He brough Livermore to Leeds and sold him the following week to Hull for £50k less than he paid and brought a donkey in from Luton (Kevin Nichols) who decided he had made a mistake two months later and wanted to go back to Luton as he was homesick .
