LUFC Leeds v Tranmere Vital Preview

Leeds United entertain Tranmere Rovers on Saturday hoping to continue with their 100% start to the season.

Form

Leeds

The Whites have won all four of their games this season in all competitions. The great news is the fact that three of them have been on the road, which was Leeds downfall last season.
Last time out they came from behind in the last ten minutes to defeat Walsall 2-1.

Tranmere

Rovers new manager John Barnes has had a mixed start this season, they started the season with a 1-0 defeat at Yeovil and followed this up with two big wins at home in the Carling Cup and League One. On Tuesday evening, they went down 1-0 at home against MK Dons.

History

The two clubs have only ever met eight times in their history, home and away.
At Elland Road, Leeds have won three to Tranmere`s one.

When the two clubs met last season it was one victory apiece, both clubs winning their home games respectively.

Leeds 3-1 victory over Tranmere at Elland Road in April secured them a Play off place.

We've got the momentum going and it's mainly been done away from home. Lets ensure we can keep it going on Saturday against Tranmere.

This stats are a bit cock eyed. We lost 2-0 in 2007-2008 in one of Macca's early games (Moore scored of course). We broke the hoodoo last season and Barnes has an abysmal record in management so lets hope it continues.

yeh maccas first game we lost 2-0 at home. must be in 2008

3 points most important, but we need to put away the chances we create more regularly
