LUFC - Duo make team of the week

Leeds United duo Shane Higgs and Andy Hughes have been included in this weeks League One team of the week for their performances at Wycombe Wanderers.

Higgs who was a summer signing from Cheltenham Town has quickly made himself Leeds number one with a string of fine performances.

On Saturday he ensured Leeds took home the three points with a fantastic save in the final minute.

Mr Versatile, Andy Hughes put in another solid performance filling in at left back for the injured Ben Parker.

Also included is former Leeds striker Ian Thomas-Moore (changed his surname after getting wed in the summer) playing for Tranmere.

The team of the week is picked by the Press Association for the best performing eleven players for their positions.

Higgs deserves all the recognition he gets for quickly settling in at Leeds and taking the keepers jersey, How I wish we'd had him last season. Also good to see Hughes get picked who comes in for what I think is undeserved criticism at times. Always willing to fill in, in a number of different positions, infact he rarely plays in his proper position if he actually now has one!
