LUFC Grella signs new 3 year contract

Mike Grella has signed a new three-year contract with Leeds after impressing so far this season.

The American has put in a string of consistent performances during pre season and made his first start in a competitive match in the Carling Cup victory over Darlington on Monday, a game in which he won the man of the match award.

The Striker first came to Leeds in January on trial and impressed in his first appearance in the reserves when he scored a hat trick against Barnsley.

That performance won him a one year deal, he struggled to break into the first team making 12 appearances as a substitute in the remainder of the season.

Grella will now be hoping to keep a regular spot in the first team, the battle for the two front places is very competitive between Beckford, Becchio, Grella and Showunmi.
