LUFC Kandol gives Grayson a reminder

Forgotten man Tresor Kandol scored four goals for Leeds in a behind closed doors friendly on Tuesday.

Leeds played a second string Newcastle United side at the Thorp Arch training ground giving some fringe players a run out.

Neil Kilkenny continued his rehabilitation after his ankle injury ruled him out of pre season with a run out along with Casper Ankergren, Aiden White, Alan Sheehan and Andy Robinson from the main first team squad.

Kandol came on as a second half substitute with the score at 1-1, he`d turned the game round in Leeds favour within sixteen minutes of his arrival scoring a quick fire hat trick.

He made it 5-1 in the dying minutes when he scored his fourth.

Kandol seems surplus to requirements after spending last season on loan at Millwall and Charlton Athletic and hasn`t even made the bench in Leeds first two games this season.

His four goals might just make boss Simon Grayson take another look, but with Beckford, Becchio, Grella and Showunmi already vying for two places his chances look slim.

Trialist Mariano Tripodi scored Leeds other goal in the first half.

Leeds also gave a trial to one other unnamed player.

I've always rated Kandol, think he works really hard for the side and deserves another chance in place of Beckford (I really must stop smoking this stuff!)

lol Dazza I know what you mean. But it's good to still have Kabdol with us I tough Mr Bates would have cashed in on him long ago. Good to have him on the bench dough...MOT!

Still, dont think hes good enough for leeds. probably good enough for some other team in this league
benlufc
Not my favourite player but still think hes better than Showunmi. If he can bang in goals like this as a sub he may be useful to have on the bench up to Xmas and then he stops scoring.
erni
Means nothing The Cone is not good enough for us, lets hope he manages his move to Charlton before the window closes
Tiny T
Yeah think he can do a job in the division but i would rather see grella getting a chance.
