LUFC Darlington v Leeds officials

Neil Swarbrick will take charge of tonight`s Carling Cup first round tie between Darlington and Leeds United.

Swarbrick was in charge of the Watford v Doncaster Rovers clash in the Championship on Saturday. He managed to keep his book in his pocket for the whole game, which is a rarity currently.
Only blot on performance was his failure to award a goal to Rovers when the ball had clearly crossed the line.

Last season he refereed 36 games, showing 82 yellow cards and 4 reds.

The last time he was in charge of Darlington was in the 2007/08 season when they lost 2-1 at home against Mansfield Town, Swarbrick infuriated the Darlington supporters when he showed Alan White a straight red card shortly before half time.

He was in charge of Leeds twice last season, the embarrassing cup exit at Histon and Leeds 2-0 home win over MK Dons.

Referee: N. Swarbrick (Lancashire)
Assistants: M. Brown & D A McCallum
Fourth official: G. Eltringham

Swarbrick I remember him in the Histon game he was alright...36 games showing 82 yellow and 4 red lets hope he keeps his book in his pocket tonight, we cant afford to lose any players trough suspensions...The ground was so bad that night I think thats why he didn't book any players...

He's got a decent record for not getting the book out to much. I was shocked to see he didn't hand out a card in the opening game of the seaon which is usually when referee's are at their worst.
