LUFC Grayson - Beckford's going nowhere

Leeds United boss Simon Grayson says that Jermaine Beckford will still be with the club in May.

Speaking on BBC Look North, Grayson said "Jermaine will not be leaving, unless it`s a ridiculous offer, he`ll be with us until at least the end of May, hopefully he`s got us another 30 to 40 goals again and got us promoted and he`s signed a new deal".

Leeds fans will be glad to hear this after losing midfielder Fabian Delph in midweek, and strong rumours that both West Bromwich Albion and Wolverhampton Wanderers were about to make a move for Beckford.

Glad to hear, if we are going to lose him which I hope we don't then someone's going to have to pay top whack for him. I wonder what offers Leeds would listen too?
dazza71
Well WBA were offering around 1'5 2' Mil don't think Leeds would take a offer that small...Grayson as we all know said he's going nowhere unless it's a ridiculous offer...I'M so glad that he is staying...MOT

Wonder how big a ridiculous offer would be and how it would have changed by January ??? If we are going well there is no way he would be let go then. Its interesting that Grayson has been quiet all week when these rumours have been flying around and speaks out now.

Rumours are that Becks is to be offered an improved contract-anyone else heard this?
Rotherham White
Yes, apparently they have offered him this, still not heard anything from the Beckford camp yet.

Rather have his goals than see him leave
