LUFC Leeds chase Liverpool youngster

According to reports on Sky Sports Leeds United are chasing Liverpool winger Adam Hammill.

A number of clubs have been chasing the highly rated 21 year old who has come through the ranks at Anfield and was part of the side that won the FA Youth Cup in 2006.

The winger has spent the past two years gaining experience out on loan, he was part of the Dunfermline side that reached the Scottish Cup Final in 2007.

He then moved on to Championship side Southampton making over 20 appearances for the South Coast club.

Hammill played 22 games for Leeds boss Simon Grayson at his previos club Blackpool in 2008, and then moved to fellow Championship side Barnsley making over 30 appearances for the South Yorkshire club till the end of last season.

The Liverpool born winger has also played six games for the England under 19`s scoring two goals.

Barnsley are one of the clubs reportedly keen on taking him back to Oakwell but Simon Grayson is hoping to beat them to his signature.
