LUFC Leeds chase Liverpool youngster

According to reports on Sky Sports Leeds United are chasing Liverpool winger Adam Hammill.

A number of clubs have been chasing the highly rated 21 year old who has come through the ranks at Anfield and was part of the side that won the FA Youth Cup in 2006.

The winger has spent the past two years gaining experience out on loan, he was part of the Dunfermline side that reached the Scottish Cup Final in 2007.

He then moved on to Championship side Southampton making over 20 appearances for the South Coast club.

Hammill played 22 games for Leeds boss Simon Grayson at his previos club Blackpool in 2008, and then moved to fellow Championship side Barnsley making over 30 appearances for the South Yorkshire club till the end of last season.

The Liverpool born winger has also played six games for the England under 19`s scoring two goals.

Barnsley are one of the clubs reportedly keen on taking him back to Oakwell but Simon Grayson is hoping to beat them to his signature.

I've just been checking him out, sounds like a good little player that would shine in League One. From Liverpool so he comes with a good pedigree and has spent all his time out on loan at Championship clubs and one Scottish Premier League club. Would be a good signing and looks the replacement for Delph.

Heard this before but were not the only club i think

Plenty of experience, lets have him we do need width in the side.

He seems to have done well where ever he has been...wonder why LKiverpool dont give him a chance. Reading Barlsy blogs they are confident he is going back there "why would he play in Div 1 when he can play in the CCC with a bigger club" was one remark...from Barnsly !!!. We seem to have a pattern of Larry going for loan players he has had at Blackpool (The Dickensons !!! One worked one didnt).

We could do with another winger with pace and the odd trick up his sleeve.

barnsley and liverpool have agreed a fee so dont think will sign him.
