Grayson believes Delph made right move

Leeds United manager Simon Grayson believes that Fabian Delph has a fantastic opportunity after signing for one of his own former managers.

Grayson speaking on the official website said "I think it`s the right move for him. Martin O`Neill is a fantastic manager and coach, and he gives young players an opportunity".

Delph commented on Villa`s official website after his signing and said 'There are a lot of young English players here, an absolutely superb manager and this is the club I've chosen to play for so hopefully I can do well,'

The 19 year old will be sorely missed at Elland Road but I think the general consensus from Leeds fans is that they are disappointed he`s gone but are happy he`s joined a club that will give him a good opportunity to play first team football.

I wish him all the best, I'm actually happy we have the money in the bank (WHATEVER IT MIGHT BE) and feel we have players in his position who can easily play at this level. I didn't think he was as good under Grayson as he was under McAllister.

Did play better under Macca, and Villa will give him a greater chance of playing in the Prem

He'll get more games at Villa than at either Tottenham or City, so it looks like the right move for Delph. Bet you could have used the extra £2-4million being mooted from the other bids though!

I think Premiership football will suit him better than league one. Often towards the end of last season he seemed to struggle to get into the games. The quality of the pitches in the prem will help too. Good look to the lad.
