The match officials have been announced for this weekend`s opening fixture against Exeter City at Elland Road.
Nigel Miller from Durham will be the man responsible for taking charge of the game.
Miller refereed 34 games last season when he booked 76 players and showed six reds.
Miller has been in charge of Leeds recently when he took charge of their 0-0 draw at Newcastle in a pre season friendly.
He officiated Leeds on one occasion last season and angered the Leeds supporters in the clubs 2-1 home defeat against Colchester United.
Miller made Rui Marques leave the pitch on the stroke of half time to receive treatment when the club were trying to defend a corner, from the resulting corner and Leeds down to ten men Colchester equalised.
David Prutton was shown a yellow card for dissent after the goal and received a second yellow and a sending off halfway through the second half for a poor tackle.
He was in charge of one Leeds game the season before, the 1-1 home draw with Leyton Orient. On that occasion he sent off Leyton Orient`s Sean Thornton.
Leeds then manager Dennis Wise was critical of Miller`s appointment for the Orient game after accusing the referee of disliking him.
They had an altercation in Leeds 1-1 draw at Southend the previous season when he turned down a clear penalty for Leeds in the last minute. Dennis Wise and his assistant Gus Poyet remonstrated with the official on the pitch.
He actually infuriated the O`s on that day giving Leeds a penalty before not awarding Orient a goal late on when the ball had clearly crossed the line.
The last time he was in charge of Exeter City was also last season in the clubs 1-1 away draw at Morecambe.
He didn`t win himself many fans with the Grecians travelling support that day either when he sent of their midfielder Bertrand Cozic for an alleged elbow.
On the opening day of last season he was in charge of Oldham`s 4-3 home victory over Millwall, he also had the red card out that day sending off Millwall`s Paul Robinson.
Referee: N.S Miller (Durham)
Assistants: K.J Mattocks & D. Naylor
Fourth official: D.J.H England
