LUFC Leeds confirm Delph bid accepted

Leeds United have released a statement on the official website confirming that the club have agreed a fee with Aston Villa for their star midfielder Fabian Delph.

The Whites were also quick to express their appreciation in the way that Villa had gone about the deal.

Leeds also said that they have turned down further bids from clubs since agreeing the fee with Villa, and had no intention on going back on the original deal.

inevitable really - seeing as you're a selling club!

Good to see clubs can still go about a deal in the correct manner. A few clubs should take note! Must have done something really good for Ken Bates and Leeds to release a statement like they did.
dazza71
how much do you recon we are going to get/
leeds_till_I_die
We may get an inkling of what we got if Bradford City say what their 12% cut is as he moved from there to Leeds as a 12 year old and that is their sell off fee.
erni
bates will probally tell bradford not to say anything!
leeds_till_I_die
I will be very annoyed if it turns out to be an undisclosed fee...I don't think it would be fair to the fans to see one of their brightest starts going and we have no idea for how much!

i dont think he will be sitting on a bench at villa either. i suppose grayson is getting a replacement. I think he was looking at chris taylor from oldham.

Thanks for your Jewel In the Crown LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLz

We will not be told the official figure. Why should we? Since Bates took over, all deals have been done without publicity and fanfare until they were completed, and details kept undisclosed. That isn't going to change. Would we honestly prefer the 'Publicity Pete' days when every wipe of the bottom is leaked to the press?
