LUFC Hughes confirms Delph interest

Mark Hughes has confirmed Manchester City`s interest in Leeds star midfielder Fabian Delph.

Big spending City were playing at Barnsley today and speaking after the game with SkySports.com City boss Hughes said 'He is a young player who has been brought to our attention.
'I'm not sure where we are up to with that because obviously I have been busy with the game today.'

Delph didn`t play for Leeds in their final pre season friendly at Burnley with the club claiming he`d picked up an injury in training.
Manchester City have been spending money like it`s going out of fashion this summer and they are sure to test Leeds resolve if they come in with a good bid.

If you want Delph' and all the other Clubs that are all mouthing of but that is all you are doing...Billionaire Clubs who want one of the biggest prospects in English football' wont pay the asking price...Leeds made their mistakes in the past' selling their youngsters' for pennies but not any more...So put up or shut up...

If City are interested then at least we are going to get maximum cash for him.

I understand City are offering 10m and thats good money for a 19 year old. I also understand that Leeds are looking to keep the lad on a season long loan, if that happens it will benefit both of our clubs. The lad will get more first team experience and you will get the use of the player and the money to buy other players to get you back up the leagues to where you should be.

Well ive heard the offer is 10 million, but we keep him on loan for this season. Really, i think thats a good deal. i know what i'd do.
benlufc
Has there actually been a solid offer from anyone yet or is it all hype?
yorkshirepride1
Grayson is saying there has been no new offers since the ones turned down two weeks ago. Spurs and City have not made an offer at this time. It dosnt mean there has been no talking going on though and Hughes indicated yesterday that City were talking to Leeds about Delph. At least he wont go to my arch enemies Spurs (other one is Newcastle but theses no chance of him going there is there now).
erni
Snap there hands off for 10m!
AndyCapsXI
If/When he goes with Citeh in the price goes up, we end up as winners for once.

Hate to see him go, but 10M is a whole lot of cash in League 1. You'd have to accept it; even better if we can negotiate Fab's loan for the season. What's the betting that 6M is already earmarked for buying back Thorp Arch...?
