LUFC No Delph or Beckford involved at Burnley

Leeds United play their last of their pre season games this afternoon at Burnley without the services of top stars Jermaine Beckford and Fabian Delph.

Also missing was striker Luciano Becchio who along with Delph picked up injuries in training this week.

More confusing was the omission of Jermaine Beckford who was in the original starting line up but was replaced at the last minute by Enoch Showunmi.

Casper Ankergren starts between the sticks in place of inform Shane Higgs has the two continue to battle for the no 1 spot against Exeter next weekend.

Team
Ankergren, Crowe, Marques, Kisnorbo, Parker, Hughes, Howson, Prutton, Johnson, Showunmi, Grella

Subs
Higgs, Snodgrass, Robinson, Michalik, Huntington, White, Sheehan

They are saying Delph was injured and Beckford was taken sick just before the game. I am more lokely to believe the Beckford story.

I dont think we will see Delph in a Leeds shirt again. The YP is saying he traned normally Friday. As for Beckford...it is a more plausable story but I am more worred about him than Delph

I honestly don't see either Delph or Beckford going anywhere soon. With all the paper talk about Delph going to every Club in the Country. I think that's all it is paper talk. Because Delph is only young they don't want to pay the money Leeds are asking for him. The Clubs interested want him for Pennies.

Maybe now that we see Delph signing for Villa there was another reason behind him not playing on Saturday?...
