LUFC - Martin to join Stanley
Leeds United keeper and Scottish U21 international Alan Martin is to join
Accrington Stanley on loan until January 2010.
Accrington Stanley manager John Coleman admitted that Martin was one of his top targets at the beginning of the summer after the shot stopper returned to Leeds at the end of a season long loan at Barrow.
The highly rated young keeper is tipped to be one for he future but Leeds manager Simon Grayson had no room for him on the squad after the arrival Shane Higgs, who has been very impressive recently.
Grayson will hope that Martin can gain the experience he needs this season and that he can be a contender for the number 1 jersey in seasons to come.

I can't see the point with Martin, he's now old enough if good enough to be getting first team action. Instead we are once again sending him out on loan.
