LUFC - Leeds giving trial to French defender

Leeds have been giving a trial to young French defender Michael Baudry.

The 21 year old is in the starting line up for Tuesday night`s friendly at Grimsby Town.

Baudry was due to fly out to Ireland with Leeds last week but problems with clearance allowing him to play caused the Frenchman to miss that trip.

Baudry is contracted to French Third Division side Troyes who were relegated last season, the 6`2" defender who signed a new contract last year until 2011 has a clause in his contract that allows him to talk to other clubs if Troyes were relegated.

The defender won the clubs Player and Young player of the year awards last season and according to reports is impressing the Leeds staff during his stay with the club.

Been reading up on the guy and he sounds like just what we want. Apparently he's a no nonesense defender who likes to put a foot in. Lets get him signed up.

Had a shaky first 45 mins and made a major blunder at the start of the second half but then seemed to settle with Rui. Eddie Gray says on this performance he wouldnt earn a contract but showed enough for a second chance.
