LUFC - Stanley chase Martin
Accrington Stanley are once again hoping to sign Leeds United goalkeeper Alan Martin.
Martin who spent last season on loan at Barrow in the Blue Square Conference is once again third choice at Elland Road with the arrival of Shane Higgs from Cheltenham Town.
The 20 year old joined Leeds in the summer of 2007 from Motherwell and was being tipped for great things but has yet to establish himself between the sticks at Leeds.
Martin earned glowing reviews during his time at Barrow last season including a man of the match performance at Middlesbrough in the FA Cup.

Hear so many good things about this lad but can't get in ahead of Casper!

He is on the Irish trip but didn't play yesterday?...he might be getting 90 minutes against Glentoran or something like that...
I think in about 5 years he will be a top quality keeper!

I can only think it is his age as Casper is a total liability on anything in the air or anything that needs command of his area. His positioning is also poor and he is prone to coming for balls that are the defenders responsibility and putting everyone in trouble (remember the sodje own goal ???)

He's 20 year old, its not like he's just come out of the youth team. If he's that good he should be pushing for a start not number three at the club.

If we let him go we need to bring another Keeper in doesn't make sense
