LUFC - Marques ready to earn new deal
Rui Marques who only has one year left on his contract is determined to earn a new deal and help the club achieve promotion to the Championship.
The defender speaking on Radio Leeds said 'I need to be at my best to maybe stay another couple of years at Leeds.
All my attention is to help the team achieve promotion.'
Marques joined the club in 2005 and after struggling to break into the side under Kevin Blackwell became a fans favourite under Dennis Wise with a number of man of the match performances.
His good form as continued under both Gary McAllister and Simon Grayson featuring in the vast majority of matches for the club.

I thought his form dipped when McAllister was manager but he looked back to the sort of form we had got used to before Macca's arrival under Simon Grayson

If Sodje doesnt sign then he will have plenty of time to impress before Christmas...If he doesnt then I imagine that Grayson will be attempeting to bring in another centre back and Rui will be signing on next summer
